Florida hurricanes boosted Alabama tourism numbers (Sun-Sentinel)
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Hurricane evacuations in Florida last year contributed to growth in Alabama's tourism industry, which reported a record $7.3 billion in spending in 2004 despite losses caused by Hurricane Ivan.
